These articles/writings, compiled by James Conyers, inspired me to review African World Revolution again. African World Revolution tells me just how far ahead of the world John Henrik Clarke was, and what a genius he was. As I read many of his familiar essays from “The Life and Times of John Henrik Clarke,” I became very sad, as I realized that African people have a long way to go for liberation, much of it being work to be done on their part.
However, “The Life and Times of John Henrik Clarke” reminds us of what a great legacy Clarke left, and how we need to move forth. Thank you James Conyers, Jr. for reviving many of his great essays into this anthology.
